So there I was at the Fort Lauderdale boat show since the grand opening on Thursday (time flies when you’re having fun).  Adrienne and I have been rushed off our feet! We are in the VIP Pavilion which is great since it has a fixed roof, we are not in the tented marquee area.  Now that might not seem very significant to you, but with Hurricane Sandy throwing lashings of rain and gale force winds at us since the afternoon, you can understand that being in a fixed building is hugely preferable. And so thought many of the attendees, so a long first day.  Lucky there’s a free bar with Champagne on tap! Cheers!!

When we left, I was drawn towards the super car selection just outside the windows.  Mmmm…think I’m going to take the shiny gold Lamborghini home.  Well why wouldn’t you?

The Sponsor next to us is a company called Capitol Lighting who’s President the lovely Eric Lebersfeld has collaborated on a new range of lighting with none other than Rob Van Winkle (Aka rapper Vanilla Ice of ‘Ice ice baby fame’).

Now the USA know Rob as a tv reality star from the DIY networks The Vanilla Ice Project, hence the new Vanilla Ice lighting range.  It’s lovely, dripping with Swarovski Crystals and very stylish.  However, I know Vanilla Ice because of our really popular UK tv reality show Dancing on Ice, where Rob did fantastically well, getting as far as week 8 with his lovely professional ice dancing partner Katie Stainsby.

So, lovely to meet you Rob, you are a great guy.  I’d go so far as to say, you are so ‘nice nice baby’ wish you well with your ‘lights lights baby’ and make sure you come to me for your ‘flights flights baby’ 🙂
