Dressed to impress in our best LBD’s with a glass of sparkling champagne to hand, we PJC ladies set out to make friends with some of the best in the biz. With our very own Wendy Courtenay presenting the 26th award of the night, we were all placing our bets on whether she would be able to make it to the stage unsupervised! While Nicky and I were trying to think of ways to distract our Wender’s from the bar until further notice, a vision appeared….a tartan vision!
Now any of you who know Wendy will know there is only one thing she loves more than champagne….and that is a man in a kilt! It was but seconds of this majestic Scotsman entering the room when I heard her declare the opening line every man wants to hear “Can I touch your sporran?”. After having spotted various lookalikes for Michael Buble, Jude Law and Rod Stewart (you know who you are), we were shocked to find ourselves sat with a charming gentleman who was the spitting image of Strictly Come Dancing’s Craig Revel Horwood! Finding himself draped with Wendy’s black feather boa (a fabulous tool to capture prey!) the somewhat, it would
Wendy was pleased to announce Music By Appointment the winners of this award once again. Here I am on the right with our new favourite man
An amazing night was had by all, with me succeeding in having my photo taken with a young man from Rigging (I did think this was something to do with the North Sea until he politely put me right), sporting his finest silk handkerchief, James, you are lovely and a true gentleman.
So many thanks to everyone at The TPi Awards for a show stopping evening; we had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful people and playing with some magnificent tassels!
We cant wait to do it all again next year!
