Back in lovely Fort Lauderdale

Your flight time to Miami today is approximately 9 hours…..yes thank you lovely Sarah, I will take that glass of Champagne!  Well you know me and Champagne.  It would be rude not to.

We arrived in the eye of a thunder and lightning storm and torrential rain! That wasn’t supposed to happen.  We just left all that bad weather behind in London didn’t we?  And worse still, we had to wait over an hour for the baggage to come off.  So I’m now with a  very stessed out Mr C, who just wants the bags and to get out of the airport! Another very good reason why we should fly everywhere by private jet, I reasoned.

Well the exciting news is that we are now officially in our super luxurious new offices and the official opening welcome party is planned for 20th June.  Watch this space.

We had the weekend to get over our jet lag and decided to chill at some of our favourite places.

Las Olas Boulevard is just fantastic to stroll along, an eclectic mix of art galleries, boutiques, eateries, wine bars and even tattoo shops.

We decided to dine at our favourite French restaurant, St Tropez Bistro, run by the charismatic and talented Gerard Kiss (yes that is his real name, pourquoi pas Monsieur Bisous?).  Formerly the proprietor of an art gallery, he still paints when he gets inspired he tells me, but we think he has found his true vocation as a restauranteur. The special Salmon Gazpacho was just amazing and washed down nicely with a bottle of Provence Rose, who could ask for more.

And then there was Sunday for a bit more of the same.

We were sitting outside another favourite of mine, Casablance Cafe.  It’s a great place to sit and people watch, and bonus…it’s right on the seafront.

And it was there that I fell in love with the most beautiful motorbike I have ever seen!  Its called an ‘Indian’ (I’ve never heard of that make before), I just loved the pale primrose paintwork and shiny chrome and the gorgeous leather beaded fringing.

So Paul, my new friend and owner of said motorbike.  If you ever want to sell it, it’s got my name right on it.  I rather think I’m rocking that biker chic look, don’t you?
