As well as Ice Hockey, Snowboarding and the ever popular Luge, Vancouver is putting on a whole programme of dance, music and theatre to complement the sporting timetable. There is certainly something to capture everyone’s imagination!

The Olympic flame was greeted in Toronto by a crowd of around 25,000 people. The streets of Canada’s most populous city were packed as the flame made its way through Ontario’s provincial capital. Of particular interest was the leg run by Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, which saw thousands of people fill Yonge Street to see the actor carry the torch. Its next leg sees the torch make its way around the rest of Ontario, and later the Niagara Falls.
