International Air Charter & the Environment
The planet around which we travel means the world to all of us. Therefore, as part of our ongoing corporate environmental policy, we encourage our clients to offset carbon emissions when flying with us through our partnership with the Carbon Passport Scheme. The scheme allows the client to purchase credits, called Certified Emission Reductions (CER’s), commensurate to carbon produced, which are then used to fund reduction of an equal amount of carbon emissions through alternative projects. The flight can then effectively be carbon-neutral. CER’s are government approved and only issued to projects accepted under the Clean Development Mechanism of the Kyoto Treaty and, as such, are subjected to rigorous qualification procedures and ongoing monitoring.
