Let’s start with some numbers

The Falcon 7X was first released in May 2005. The builder, Dassault Aviation has already made more than 250 of them! The cost of the aircraft is around 50 million dollars.

Dassault Aviation hopes to establish a new standard in the large jet category with its new Falcon 7X. Its development has been partly based on Rafale and Mirage fighter jets technology. The 7X is, of course, much more silent that fighter jets.

Dassault Falcon 7X Cockpit Cockpit - Private Jet Charter

Falcon 7X are the first private jets to use fly-by-wire technology which is an interface between the pilot input and the aircraft actions – changing speed or altitude, manoeuvring etc. -. In fact, the aircraft is handled like a fighter jet with a conveniently placed stick on the side. This change is interesting because it makes the aircraft more precise, more ergonomic and more intuitive. It is also, much more comfortable. From a safety standpoint it gives pilots functionalities that reduce their workload as well as increase their situational awareness.

The jet’s design, in addition to enhance its performances – fuel consumption, lowest and highest speed -, makes it more silent and reduces the effect of turbulence. The new wing design is 30% more effective that the old design and allows the Falcon 7X to reach slower landing speeds than any other large jet.
